The Project

"Each friend represents a world in us,
a world possibly not born until they arrive,
and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."
- Anais Nin

About The Project:

Debbie and Jen met through a little class called Mondo Beyondo.  Being an online dreams workshop, it was possible that two women, one living on the rural eastern coast of the United States and one from the outskirts of London, England could meet and say, "Hey, I really am interested in this writing thing, would you like to be my writing partner"?

So for awhile the two corresponded, emails sent back and forth, trying to build writing into their daily lives and sending the results of some scattered throughts electronically across the sea for each other to review.

What they discovered in this process was that while they were trying to figure out exactly what it was they wanted to write, they actually were writing to each other about themselves, their lives, their past and their hopeful futures.

A correspondence began and will continue here in what they hope to be a beautiful place for friendship, a solid place to continue to explore writing and a snapshot into the lives of two women who together hope to live, love, learn and share that experience together even if there is 1,000 miles of ocean between them.

Notes Across The Sea is written in correspondence format with each of us writing a letter to the other each week.
